I hope you don't take offense with me asking you this, but I run a small modeling business, called Darbys Angels modeling. And if modeling interests you, I'd be interested in hiring you. Please write me if this interests you.

Thanks, Rick

Hi there, I talked to you about puppies via e-mail a while ago and was wondering if any of your female pups were still available? Still looking!

Thanks, Julia.

Are you planning on breeding next summer? I am very interested in your puppies, but am just waiting for our two year old boxer to mature just a little bit more. If you are having puppies next summer is there a way to get on a waiting list?

I have now been to my first dog show. Had a great time. Eby won some toys, $5.40, and some ribbons. She was competing against puppies that were almost 10 mo. when she was barely 6 months. She won her first blue and red ribbon in a show that was more for practice as she was one day short of 6 months and it didn't count for points. Marlene and Kristen had entered her in without my knowledge. I love her professional picture. I am a proud momma.
She now stays with Marlene until the Kipps will be showing her later this fall. I talk to her and the other boxers on the speaker phone. Max talks back. Eby licks the phone and Duke is puzzled by hearing my voice without seeing me.
I was told by Kristen that I had done a very good job with Eby and could foster a puppy for her anytime. We found that using tongue depressors on both sides of the ears helped to keep the ears straighter and also prevented us from having to tape ears on the hour when you have 3 young puppies and one older puppy. All you boxers owners know that boxers are puppies all the time.
If you are thinking about becoming a boxer owner of a show puppy and are a novice, it is challenging, but very fun and rewarding. You have to get creative with the ears, but have the breeder show you how to do the ears. I am a retired Occupational Therapist and want to get ahold of some splinting material that would be more durable and adaptable. Marlene thinks I should do it and patent it. Have fun with your boxer. If you are in the Twin Cities, I might be coerced to assist you with the ears. The puppies born on June 12th are so cute.

Sorry to have missed you when I was in Stoughton. I was reading the boxer standard. You can liken the boxer puppy to an inventive two year old. They can get themselves into trouble, but then they want to jump up into your lap a kiss you to death. They do take a kind, but firm approach. They need to be taught who is boss. That is true of the 2 year old too..."I am the mommy." You wouldn't think that boxers were swimmers, but I took Ebony and Duke swimming for Marlene. Duke has been going for a while, but it was Eby's first time. She took off like a duck to water. She was a very tired dog both times she went swimming, but in just 2 sessions at Dunkin' Dawgs in Janesville her muscles were more defined. I have physical challenges. Duke was able
to sense that and did not pull on his lead. He also comes running when I come to visit and puts his leg that had the ACL repair in position for me to massage. He is very gentle. I don't know why they don't have boxers for guide and assistance dogs. One of Marlene's pet puppies jumps up and hits the ice machine when he wants some ice cubes. Eby's favorite toys come from the Dollar Tree Store or things around the house. She lets me know when it is time for going to bed. She barks until I turn off the TV in the bedroom. I trick her and let her go to sleep first and turn it back on. They love the physical contact. Ebony is just like her Mother Sassy when it comes to kisses. They both like to stand over you and then kiss your face and ears. If you can't give a boxer plenty of exercise, then you better get a dog runner or put it in an animal exercise program. Eby gets into more trouble on the days that it takes me longer to get off of the couch or the walks are shorter. They are alot of responsibility and work, but they are well worth it with all the love and devotion that you get in response.

I just filled out the puppy questionnaire and realize that I'd be happy with a white, fawn, or brindle boxer. Your pups look wonderful.

The reality hit when I saw my name as owner of Ebony. She is a sweetheart. I wish I could take them all home. I have to check more than once just to see if it is really true that I am a boxer owner. I feel like a new mom. Shouldn't people have showers for new puppy owners? I get invited to many baby and bridal showers. I will be bringing my #1 dog sitter to help bring Eby home and learn how to correctly wrap the ears. I am so excited. I am so happy that I will have one of Sassy puppies. I hope that she has Sassy's pizazz. I hope that I can put together my long-term memory of when we had our poodle to train and all the Animal Planet training shows to make Eby the best puppy ever. I will have the 1 on 1 time with her. This week I am checking out the swim place near me and finding out good vets in the area that are taking patients that have emergency hours. I had to check out the Urgent Care for myself today as I kicked the bedpost on Sunday. My diagnosis of a fractured toe was correct. I have a post-op shoe on my left foot. It should be fine when Eby is ready to come to MN. I really liked Blackstone's Serenade of Shiloh. I think she will be another dancer like Jazz. She loved hiding under the piano. I sold my piano to my best friend from high school. We are having a play date for social skills. Maybe she will take off into the music room. My other high school friend may rob Eby from me. She has had two boxers and would love to have another, but she has two other dogs now. One of the pharmacy employees where I go is keeping Blackstone in mind when her daughter graduates from college. Her daughter really wants a boxer. I told her where she could get a high quality one from a responsible, loving breeder. Who knows maybe it will be one of Eby's puppies? Will see you when you take out Eby's stitches. I have taken them out of hand surgeries that were missed, but not from any 4 legged females. I am so excited that I am not sleeping as well as I should be.

PS. Can't wait for my puppy. I am hoping for Cocoa with natural ears, but all the dogs are great. Sassy tried to go home with me. They all would have gone if Marlene hadn't crated the rest of them. This is my first experience with meeting all of the puppies and then watching them go to new homes. I will cry with Cynde. If anyone is looking for a good boxer puppy, this is an esp. great litter. I might be biased as Sassy is my buddy. I helped with the puppies.
They are from good bloodlines and are carefully, "homegrown" with love and knowledge of the needs of boxers. I loved Marlene's first boxer "Jazz." She has grown more in love with boxers with each new one she has. Will look forward to having you look at the boxers on Tues., Madeline.

Hi,
I talked with Marlene. Yes, you may stay here for the dog shows if you don't mind doing the sleeping bag and blow up bed thing. Marlene will probably want my couch. I am near the Mall of America, MN Zoo, MN Children's Museum and Science Center are in St. Paul where in the inside dog shows are probably going to be held. I love kids. I have a friend that might babysit if you didn't want to take the baby to the show. It is easy to get to off 94. I figure about 4 and 1/2 hours from Marlene's to my house. It is all freeway. Other than a few speed traps and you may have to take another potty break than I did recently. Eau Claire sounds great. Lovely area. You and the kids are more than welcome to stay here. I made the comment about the full kitchen as many motels don't have that. I am off to a sale on dog crates, toys, and food at FleetFarm.

Love your website. We are a small boxer breeder just established in 2008. We will be looking to expand our breeding program. Our male Zeus will be retired this year and our female Keira will be retired next year. Would love to get in contact with you regarding possibly obtaining one of your puppies.

Hello! I just wanted to update you on Vader. He is an awesome puppy!!!! He has a wonderful temperment and we are so happy. My kids just adore him. He sleeps through the night great (at our feet) and is doing well with going outside although he definitely does not like the cold! He also knows how to sit and fetch. Thank you so much for breeding and raising such wonderful puppies!!!
